Stolen from a unit in West Footscray on 1 April 2019 and recovered one year later, for sale in a second-hand dealer in Barkly Street, Footscray.
Pity the dealer didn't check the VAULT before buying and attempting to sell the bike. Very lucky it was picked up by a stolen bike spotter, as the pawnbroker had incorrectly spelled the bike's details. Miss spelling the bike details seems to be a catchy phenomenon amongst some dealers at the moment.
Note: Miss spelling stolen property descriptions online is a major red flag and a usual ploy by black market traders to avoid the item being identified.
Thank you BikeVAULT and thank you to the SUPERSTAR civilian who spotted my Merida.
This is such a good news story and I feel so lucky that he has returned, after 12 months of feeling bereft – I have an immense amount of gratitude.
Don't settle for just a bike lock, choose a premium VAULT lock and ID KIT bundle, and not only secure your bike, but secure your bikes ID and your ownership for life.
